I’ve a load of old magazines I want to dispose of. Complete sets “BTO News” and RSPB “Birds” both from 1986- to-date. Let me know andy@gonebirding.org. Maybe a library or institution you know may be interested?
If I still have them in the New Year, then regrettably, they’re going to recycling.

We did a fair bit of herping after dark with the added bonus of coming across other animals like this beautiful little Jeboa who wasn't at all bothered by me 🥰

Anyone in the #peakdistrict today see what looked like four Ospreys heading towards Sheffield near Curbar Edge? Was it?

Hail Mary post here - but I just lost a nice little pannier bag somewhere in Cat Lane woods and didn't have time to go back for it (plus its like the Blair Witch project in there - I wouldn't even know where I'd been) it's blue and green, Linus brand and had a can of cherry coke in it. #sheffield

Here’s the “Salmon of Steel” statue in Sheffield. Had a brilliant afternoon at the University of Sheffield, speaking with the Editors & Publishers Network. It reminded me how journals are a labour of love. We must withdraw our uncompensated labour from supporting unscrupulous commercial publishers.

Morden Peregrines. 1/2. Based on their age the chicks may fledge from 20-22 June, though this could be a little earlier and they're vulnerable to accidents prior to this now they're flapping on the ledge. We have 2 males and 2 females, and males tend to fledge a bit sooner.

2/2. Hopefully they'll wait until next week when the weather may be more suitable. If you live, work, or visit the area around Crown House, please keep a look out for birds grounded or in difficulty. Any concerns please contact
