12 mile trail run at the Ozette Triange in Olympic National Park. The swamp lanterns were quite “fragrant”. Guess the alternate name skunk cabbage is accurate.

12 mile trail run with 3200 feet of elevation gain on the Vista Trail and Yakima Skyline Trail at the Untanum Recreation Area in Central WA. The scenic drive in the Yakima River canyon to get to the trailhead is an added bonus.

10 mile trail run on the Trail of Ten Falls trail in Silver Falls State Park, OR. This place is unique because the trail goes behind four of the waterfalls. The river canyon is completely lined with basalt, moss and ferns. One of my favorite PNW runs in the winter time.
