I can't believe in ~5 years of visiting miami I've never visited the everglades until now. what a mindblowing park, it's like someone upturned a bucket of animals in front of every step you take. all of these animals were on a short, heavily traffic path! puts our california parks to shame tbh

the last week was an insane rollercoaster. I rode 66 miles (on 4 hours of sleep) on saturday to fundraise for oakland schools, then learned that we lost 6 staffmembers to d*ge bullshit on sunday, then narrowly averted a one day strike the same thursday we tentatively brought those staffmembers back
