A competent attorney general and/or FBI director would order the FBI to investigate, even if the tips were discounted years ago. But no one has ever accused Bondi and Patel of being competent.

And the FBI discounted reports from likely victims as not credible, so they were not investigated. The FBI was/is protecting a long list of rich and powerful.

Normally I would agree with you. But Vance's attitude toward Lt Col Tammy Duckworth, who lost both legs while serving, indicates to me that he doesn't understand the losses that others experienced while deployed. I think he has adopted his dear leader's attitude towards service members.
