Hi! I'm collecting stuff related to Swedish tabletop roleplaying games (Mörk Borg, Dragonbane, Mutant year zero, the Troubleshooters, etc.) on Bluesky, mainly on this feed: bsky.app/profile/did:...

If you have something you want to share, let me know!
#SwedishTTRPGs game 5. Mutant 2, published in 1986 by Äventyrsspel, was an expansion to the Mutant game. A new class (the cryogenically frozen), a complex skill system, new mutations, hit zones, etc. More about ”Pyrisamfundet”, the Scandinavian mutant society. Scottish badgers! Giant pike!

Even the drivethrurpg blurb says ”As a role-playing game, this should be classified as unplayable”.

Somehow this just makes me more eager to get my hands on it.

#SwedishTTRPGs game 4

The first Swedish RPGs were all published by Äventyrsspel, but in 1986 Titan Games published a translation of Dungeons & Dragons (the 1983 Basic Set). The Expert rules were also published, but no later official #dungeonsanddragons editions have been published in Swedish.

Chock (1985) the Swedish translation of Chill (1st ed.) from Pacesetter Ltd (even has the same cover). #ChillRPG

A contemporary supernatural horror game with percentage based rolls (like BRP or CoC).

#SwedishTTRPGs game 2

The second Swedish RPG hit the stores in 1984. Äventyrsspel's Mutant was a post-apocalyptic game with mutants, robots and talking mutated animals.

It was inspired by TSR's Gamma World (but in Scandinavia), and using Chaosium's BRP system.

Many versions followed.

#SwedishTTRPGs game 1

The first Swedish TTRPG (also my first TTRPG) was the 1982 ”blue box” edition of Drakar och Demoner published by Äventyrsspel.

It was an adapted translation of Chaosium's Basic Role-playing (BRP) rules and the Fantasy World part from ”Worlds of Wonder”.
