Took me a minute (emotionally & technogically) to get this together, but RIP Todd Snider. Here's my interview with him in 2019. 🙏🏼

Sad state of affairs when so much media tries so hard to convince us all these meh NFL QBs/teams are worth watching. The whole tri-state area knows the Giants & Jets 🦨. Even w/ the nickname, division title for 1st time in forever, 60 (!) HRs + several tight races & MLB drama is an afterthought

"For nearly four months, the U.S. government withheld the identities of the men it deported and barred them from contacting their families or lawyers." $6 million for this!

Deported under a little-known wartime law, more than 130 Venezuelans were sent from the U.S. to a maximum-security prison in El Salvador. Now released, several tell NPR they endured beatings, sexual a...

But there are non-P5 teams that HAVE to win 3 games in 3 days to get to Field of 68, even if they dominate their league for 3 months.
A bubble tourney the weekend before Big Dance is the way to go. Imagine 16-32 win or go home games instead of 32 $$ grab conf tourneys

Wetzel: Please don't expand NCAA basketball tournaments
The NCAA will risk an iconic slice of Americana if it expands the NCAA men's and women's tournaments again.

Giannis was the 15th pick, SGA was the 11th pick (and got traded twice). Luka was the 3rd pick & got traded for a 6'1 guy who's somehow even worse on D. Jokic was the 41st (!) pick. Halliburton was the 12th pick & got traded. Best of luck to all picking unknown 18-20-yr-olds in the 2025 #nbadraft!

I still say Zak-Dhani-Sean-James would be fun tour, even if they play a bunch of originals and/or non-Beatle covers and/or like 1 Fab 4 tune a night. NY, LA, London, Paris, Tokyo. 5 gigs, that's it. Call it the Fam Four. Make a doc out of it. Thank you and good night...

NBA Playoffs, conspiracy edition lol:
League superglad LA-GS is not a 1st rnd series, will be 2nd rnd once they both win 4 games.
OKC should beat DEN or LAC but might not
LA vs DEN/LAC/OKC will yield high drama
CLE-BOS is only acceptable East outcome

I'm sorry but whoever says Packline D & wearing down your opponent by taking :29 to then get great shots on offense (aka Tony Bennett ball) is hard to watch compared to whatever that rugby match I just watched was...A for effort, D for execution. #MarchMadness #FinalFour 24% on 3s, 36.9% on 2s 😵

Only 7 Wooden Award winners since the 1st one in 1977 have won it all (men's college bball). That's 7/48 (14.58%), not counting 2020 #MarchMadness #FinalFour 2 in the 80s, 2 in the 90s, 1 in the 00s, 2 in the 10s, 0 so far in 20s.

I know the ultimate goal is to get primetime ratings $$ on the West Coast, but it's almost 1am EST. Non-gamblers East of Purdue aren't watching this. How's that East coast ad $ after midnight? Start earlier so hoops fans of all ages can see it live #MarchMadness

So much for a national TV return to Miami. 5 starters making $90 mil combined have 2 points each while bench scores 30 in about the same amount of minutes. That's some Championship mettle! Looks like that Jimmy B (and Luka for Lakers too) shine is wearing off... #NBA

This tournament has to have some kind of record for margin of victory. Hardly any under 8 points! #MarchMadness

30 for 30 voice: What if I told you 1 nine-seed, 1 ten, 1 eleven & 1 twelve would win today? No 13s, 14s, 15s or 16s. I don't feel like my bracket % would be much better lol #MarchMadness I actually picked the 9 & 10 in most of my brackets & go #Drake all the way now!

Nothing says #MarchMadness like turning off the game of the team for whom you've rooted all year (and most of the last 35 years) before halftime 🙄 🤬
March 21, 2025 at 12:55 AM
#Bracketologists (whose argument keeps them in biz btw) say that Conf Tourneys are the chance for bubble teams to win their way in to #MarchMadness. The last 32 spots of 64 could easily have an elimination tourney this wknd instead. Injuries to Flagg & Mizzou's Mitchell in meaningless games stink.
