Dancing in Heaven celebrates the voices of the women who were there during the #HIV/AIDS crisis. While the monologues are fiction, the stories are real, drawn from interviews, the media & the archives of Switchboard, the national LGBTQIA+ support line.

Twenty-Eight by Kestral Gaian (@kestr.al) and published by Reconnecting Rainbows Press (@reconnectingrainbo.ws) is on my TBR pile - an anthology of works by the survivors of the Section 28 era. The don't say gay law affects the #LGBTQIA community still

It's LGBT+ History Month! @lgbthm.bsky.social

With the theme of science & innovation, we'll reflect on how the LGBT+ community has fought long and hard to ensure that those living with #HIV can access treatment and live well without fear of discrimination or stigma.

We're looking to capture experiences of what it means to be queer in the UK today! To do that we're collecting day diaries for 12th February. It doesn't matter what you get up to, or how you record it, we'd love to have it!🧵 (1/4) #LGBTplusHM #lgbthm26
In 1982, inspired by the work of MO the National Lesbian and Gay survey began, it sought to capture what everyday life was like for queer people living in the UK. For our latest open call we're continuing the work of NLGS and asking what does it mean to be queer every day?

As well as writing fiction I also write about grief at The Widow's Handbook (@widowshandbook.bsky.social) and loved Cariad Lloyd's Griefcast
As part of National Grief Awareness Week, I'm re-sharing my favourite interview I ever did about grief. It was with Cariad Lloyd for her excellent - and much missed - Griefcast, a show that got closer to the horror, humour and healing of grief than any other.

Séamas O'Reilly | Griefcast
This week Cariad talks to writer + journalist Séamas O'Reilly (Have Ye Heard Mammy Died?) about his mum, who died from breast cancer when Séamas was just five years old.
