After 7 long weeks of delay because of Republican intransigence, the people of Arizona’s 7th district now officially have the representation they deserve. Congratulations to Congresswoman Grijalva!

This read in the Atlantic is a strong summary of how Democrats are poised to retake the House Majority in 2026, that voters hate Republicans’ efforts to rig the election, and they are souring on GOP broken promises to lower costs.
November 7, 2025 at 9:14 PM
It’s simple. Trump and Republicans’ broken promises on the economy and rising costs is losing them public support. Affordability, and House Democrats’ laser focus to address the pocketbook issues are why we will take back the majority next year.

Thanks to Morning Edition for having me on to talk about how voters coast to coast sent a resounding message to reject the Republican agenda. It’s clear voters want representatives that will fight to lower costs, not be blindly loyal to Trump.

Happy Election Day! If you still need to vote in Washington, make sure you take your ballot to a drop box before 8pm PT instead of mailing it to ensure your vote is counted. #waelex

It doesn’t have to be this way. The admin can release funds now to help keep food assistance available, and House Republicans need to come back to work so we can sit down and negotiate a bipartisan deal.
November 1, 2025 at 11:43 PM
Another broken promise by House Republicans and the latest way their reckless agenda is hurting working families across the country. We need to address the GOP health care crisis now.
November 1, 2025 at 9:16 PM
Ok.

Since Rep. McClain raised the topic.

The truth is: House Republicans voted for the largest cut to food assistance earlier this summer with their Big, Ugly Bill. And the DCCC will hold them accountable before their voters next November.

Just the latest data confirming what everyday American families already know: costs continue to rise, and Republicans have broken their promise to do anything about it. We can do better.
October 24, 2025 at 10:09 PM
It doesn’t have to be this way. Republicans need to come to the negotiating table so we can stop these price hikes from hitting hundreds of thousands of Washingtonians.
October 22, 2025 at 4:16 PM
Republicans’ laundry list of broken promises and failure to lower prices for working families is going to cost them the majority in 2026. This story is an in-depth reminder of how Republicans are making life harder for everyday Americans.

NO KINGS Redmond

Prices are rising, but House Republicans refuse to do anything to provide relief for working families. Their broken promises are literally costing everyday Americans more at the grocery store.
October 16, 2025 at 1:57 PM
Nobody asked for these Republican mid-cycle gerrymanders, except Donald Trump - and the data backs it up. He and House Republicans know they can’t win on the issues, so they are desperately trying to rig the elections.
October 15, 2025 at 10:11 PM
More evidence that Trump’s reckless tariffs are hurting everyday Americans - and that Republicans have broken their promise to lower costs.
October 14, 2025 at 4:45 PM
Across the board, as more data comes in, it’s becoming distressingly clear. House Republicans and Trump’s reckless policies are severely weakening the nation’s job market. We need leaders fighting to grow the economy, not hurt workers.
October 8, 2025 at 5:56 PM
Appreciate Lawrence O'Donnell for having me on last night! The contrast is clear. Democrats are fighting to lower health care costs for working families - Trump & Republicans are plotting to hurt Americans. GOP needs to come to the table to negotiate a bipartisan deal.
October 7, 2025 at 9:07 PM
Here is the big difference between House Democrats and Congressional Republicans today. Democrats are fighting to protect affordable health care for the American people, Republicans are plotting to hurt people.
October 2, 2025 at 10:26 PM
No matter how much Republicans try to spin it, the American people know and are feeling firsthand the impacts of the GOP’s disastrous policies at the grocery store and in their pocketbook.
October 2, 2025 at 7:52 PM
Another discouraging sign of how Trump and Republicans’ reckless policies are hurting America’s workers.
October 1, 2025 at 5:47 PM
In addition to causing millions of Americans health care costs to skyrocket, Republicans - by refusing to negotiate - are also threatening telehealth services for millions of seniors. Democrats stand ready to get to work - why won’t Republicans.
October 1, 2025 at 2:59 PM
Worth a watch. Another broken promise by Republicans, and how it’s hurting American families across the country. It’s time for sensible policy that helps working people, not the wealthiest few.
