And finally, after some sunshine at the weekend, the daffodils in the garden have bloomed. Hello Spring

Look closely and see if you can spot me and my hat! Proud to have graduated from UofG in 1988. These days the only use I have for my chemistry degree is mixing my millinery stiffener (and that’s not really proper chemistry!)
As #InternationalWomensDay approaches, we want to recognise all the incredible women who make the University of Glasgow what it is 💜 We are so proud to have you in #TeamUofG.

Last year, students, colleagues & alumni came together to make up our #IWD mosaic. Thank you.

The hat for this years #SBSevent2025 got finished last night. No pictures of just the hat - I don’t have a mannequin head at home. My hat (and me!) are looking forward to seeing everyone on Friday. My hair has just been tamed and won’t be as mad as it is in the hat pic on Friday!

I did tech. Several products listed and some jelly babies left! Webshop goes live when I hit 10 products - won’t be tomorrow though, tomorrow I do proper millinery! I am now sore of brain and am going home!

Ok laptop. It’s you me and the website today. I have jelly babies. I can do this. And if I do enough of it today. Tomorrow I can do real millinery rather than business ‘stuff’

Cheers from me and Glinda out for a night of dancing at Strictly Live!
January 25, 2025 at 6:43 PM
Introducing Glinda the Glitterball hat, the most bonkers hat I’ve made (so far!) I’m going to see Strictly at The Hydro tomorrow night and I had a strong urge to turn my head into a glitterball! If you’re there on Saturday night and you see me and the hat do come and say hello!

How’s everyone doing in the storm? It’s currently blowing a hoolie on top of the hill we live on. I definitely made the right call yesterday when I decided me and my hat were working from home. What’s it to be? Have laptop will tech, have flower making tools will create - probably create! Stay safe

Forget blue Monday, have a blue hat instead. I call this one Audrey

Not often that hubby has a midweek day so off so I treated him to lunch at the fabulous Who’s Cafe in Moss Street, Paisley for lunch. If you’re local you need to try it. The food is amazing and your tastebuds will thank you

Is too cold, I’m a hot weather person!

Looking forward to getting dressed up for the races this year? Here are some of the Ladies Day events at UK racecourses. Need a new hat? I’d love to make it for you. It takes at least 4 weeks for custom work so as soon as you have your outfit come and see me to sort out the hat

First day back at work!
January 7, 2025 at 1:52 PM
First trip of the year to my happy place. The sound and smell of the sea always helps me find my centre. It was one of those wonderful winter weather days where it was cold enough to need my cosy beret but sunny enough to need the prescription sunglasses!

I loved teaching my introduction to millinery course at Gartmore House last week. My student had never made a hat before and I was very impressed by the quality of her work in the 2 hats she completed. Want to learn to make a hat? My next courses at Gartmore are in April and September 2025

Well in that case......
Please say hi to My Little Man everyone, this is him before the snow properly arrived here this week. Only just about gone now 😁 He is only about 14cm in height
Also one of the reasons why I always seem to be on the #NaughtyStep 😂

We’ve got snow! But it’s now raining so I don’t think it’s going to be here for long!
