Even if we stopped burning fossil fuels tomorrow, we've already done enough damage that we need to adapt today, as @susannahfisher.bsky.social explains.

What does adapting to climate change really mean — for our homes, food, & communities?

A few weeks ago I talked to @climateone.org about what is means to adapt and how it is a time to build new futures with gritty hope. Have a listen!
So many conversations about the climate crisis focus on prevention. But no matter how well we succeed on that front, climate-induced disasters are already destroying lives & livelihoods, & causing hundreds of billions of $$ of damage. So how do we adapt? Find out on the latest from Climate One: 🎧👇

Well, here's some good news to start the weekend. Negotiating a treaty is one thing, but the work only starts once it's ratified and it looks as though the High Seas Treaty (aka BBNJ) will soon be up and running. This provides structure & standards & is a big step in protecting our ocean. 🎉🎉🌊
