After 7 firings, I finally finished this piece. The vase was made with opaline sheet glass and frit, lavender sheet glass and various glass powder for the flowers.

With everything going on in the states, it is good to get away for a bit. Tulum is beautiful and the people are so kind. I did manage to call my representatives to vote no on the budget bill which gives tax cuts to the wealthy and cuts Medicaid and food programs for children!

I was glad that hundreds of concerned people showed up in Frederick yesterday to speak out against the takeover of our government. The footage of demonstrations around the country gave me some hope.
