For the pastors or doomsday fanatics- jamaica as well as the islands in the Caribbean are in a hurricane and earthquake zone. One or the other natural disaster, can affect us. So no, its not "God" punishing us for carnival, or witchcraft or wickedness. Go find something else 2 do with ur sad life.

Good morning! 5:52am, Sunday, Oct 26, 2025. Waiting for Hurricane #Melissa. Here in Liguanea, it's very still. Not a breath of wind. Light rain on&off. I can hear the birds' morning chorus. Yesterday my 8-year-old granddaughter asked me where birds go during a hurricane. #Jamaica

It was so still today. A number of times, I stared at the trees in my garden & not a leaf was moving. The proverbial calm before the storm. Thirty-seven years ago, I went through Hurricane Gilbert and it was a frightening experience. Tonight I am waiting for Hurricane #Melissa... #Kingston #Jamaica
