When Musk joined the campaign, he announced that he was "dark MAGA." He was not being cheeky or ironic; instead he was referencing a subculture of neo-Nazis/neo-monarchists who employ retro-fascist and occult imagery of death (reminiscent of Freidkorps art). This is who has the ear of the President.
