1/ 🔍 The upcoming Super Bowl will feature the NE Patriots vs. the Seattle Seahawks, a revisit of a prior matchup in 2015.

When teams run it back years later, they’re obsessing over film, poring over every snap from their last matchup: what worked, what didn’t, and what’s changed in the lineup.

1/ Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery works. Mastering it is the hard part.

🩺 MIGS has transformed gynecologic care: less pain, faster recovery, shorter hospital stays, and outcomes often comparable to open surgery. It’s also fundamentally video-based. And yet, the learning curve remains steep.

1/ We wrapped an incredible experience at the Orlando Health Flexible Ventricular Neuroendoscopy Workshop & Conference 🧠

🌎 Surgeons from 10+ countries across five continents came together for live surgery, hands-on lab training, expert lectures, and case-based discussion focused on ETV-CPC.

1/ 🌟 As we move into 2026, it’s worth reflecting on what 2025 made unmistakably clear for surgeons.

🩺 Our conversations with clinicians and academic teams touched on the need for clarity over complexity, tools that respect clinical reality, and systems that support learning and discovery.

1/ 🎄 Advent Day 24 🎄
As we close out our Advent series and prepare for the new year, we want to reflect on the conversations that shaped 2025.

This word cloud is a more cumulative look at all the ideas, questions, and themes that kept surfacing and connected surgeons across specialties. 🧠📊

1/ 🎄 Advent Day 22
We’re often asked how SDSC is growing.
One clue: our most visited page this year was surgicalvideo.io/careers.

We’re a small, focused team, and we’re grateful that SDSC’s mission, pace, and values resonate with many.

1/ 🎄 Advent Day 21

26 SVP releases this year.

Each update to the Surgical Video Platform (SVP) drives accuracy and alignment with how surgeons actually work. As more real-world surgical video is added, the models continue to learn, improve, and adapt.

🎄 Advent Day 20

Our surgical caps have seen a lot this year: ORs, site visits, conferences…all long days but very meaningful conversations.

They represent more than SDSC branding.

1/ 🎄 Advent Day 19

🩺 We’re proud to share that over 600+ surgeons are now using SDSC’s Surgical Video Platform (SVP) to:
- Review and analyze surgical video
- Reflect on technique and performance
- Support training and education
- Contribute to research and quality improvement

1/ 🎄Advent Day 17

We’ve talked about the ETV-CPC Assessment Tool before, and it remains a highlight for us because it tackles a problem we’ve all felt: the difficulty of measuring surgical nuances.

Completeness matters in CPC, and so does defining it consistently across different cases.

1/ 🎄 Advent Day 16

As the saying goes: timing is everything.

The Tool Timeline in our Surgical Video Platform (SVP) transforms raw video into a clear, chronological view of which tools are used, when, and for how long across a procedure.
December 17, 2025 at 4:39 AM
1/ 🎄Advent Day 15

Understanding surgery at scale requires models built for surgical reality. To date, we’ve developed 15 surgical machine-learning models, enabling the quantitative analysis of 20+ different surgical procedures, across tools, phases, workflows, and technique.
