Happy Veterans Day! Today I want to thank every veteran for your service and sacrifice for our country.

As a county, we are committed to ensuring every veteran can thrive when they return home—and before I leave office, my goal is to end veteran homelessness in my district.

This will mark the end of an era in American politics.

Nancy Pelosi has been a force of nature—in Washington, in the Democratic Party, and here in California. She took power that women had never been allowed to hold and used it to deliver real progress for this nation.

Across the county, buildings are lit green this week as part of #OperationGreenLight— including the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration.

Proud to appoint Thomas Sutfin to our Aviation Commission.

He has already gotten involved with the commission’s work, including briefing my office on the incident last month when a plane crash-landed in Long Beach’s Heartwell Park.

Thank you for stepping up to serve LA County.

Celebrating our boys in blue, bringing back the championship trophy right where it belongs.

Welcome home, Dodgers!
November 3, 2025 at 11:54 PM
This is exactly what my dad hoped for when he brought the Dodgers to LA nearly 70 years ago.

He wanted a world-class baseball team to bring the city together— and now, it seems like all of LA is at this parade to celebrate our back-to-back World Series Champs.

Go Dodgers!!

Millions of people are not receiving food assistance today as the shutdown continues.

We have to meet this moment—and my office has partnered with food banks across the district to help people who are struggling.

If you can, please consider donating to your local food bank.

Here in Norwalk to celebrate the grand opening of 54 new studio apartments for people who have experienced homelessness.

Today we’re not just cutting a ribbon— we’re opening doors. Doors to safety, stability, and opportunity.

This is an unimaginable & horrific tragedy.

I stand ready to support LASD as they investigate. My heart breaks for what the other children in this home must have experienced, and it’s critical that DCFS do everything possible to keep them safe in protective custody.

When Capt. Sheila Kelliher-Berkoh was hired in 2000, she was the 15th female firefighter in the LA County Fire Department— and since then, she has paved the way for future generations.

As Capt. Kelliher retires, I want to thank her for being an incredible role model for women across LA County.
