The Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) from Appomattox, Virgina on May 9th 2024. Only 10 minutes from where the Civil War ended.

This is what I love doing if I can when not on the computer working. This was at Buggs Island Lake (Kerr Reservoir) on the Virginia/North Carolina line.

The cover pic is me standing under a rose bush in our front yard. It came from an old confederate cemetary in Lynchburg, Virginia near where we live. My wife & daughter cut a little snippet of it and got it to root and planted it. That was 15 yrs ago. It's like a tree now 🙂
