ConnecticutCon is finished, and it was certainly... an event of all time. There were some highlights, though! We were right next to Jon St. John's puppy rescue, a Surge cosplayer gave me a bracelet for recognizing her, and I managed to play a full round of DDR without dying!

It took 3 hours of standing in line, one Lyft, one commuter rail from Worcester to Boston, and I'd already boarded my bus to Portland, but we got there!

Tonight I say goodbye to the first and only car I've ever owned. It might seem silly to be sentimental about that, but this car helped dig me out of some of the worst times in my life, ferried me through my judging career, and is really the only thing I've earned actual ownership of... Ever.

Day 3 out! Spent the day aggressively Cactuar-ing at players until they played games of Commander with each other. Then, I spent the night dressed in my fancy New Capenna Cabaretti mobster getup with some of the finest people I get to travel the country and run events with. Tomorrow: Home!

Long Day 2 at MagicCon Chicago. Very helpful players helped me get the last signature I needed, another donated a new foily boi to me. I judged and prized a 324 player Team Trios Full-Box event, and helped manage another Unknown Event! Tomorrow I'll be in the Command Zone to cap off my weekend.

Day 1 of #MCChicago is in the books! That's one @gavinverhey.bsky.social's Unknown Event managed, one Preview Panel attended, and almost all the signatures I needed to hunt down acquired! That's a lotta steps! Tomorrow: Grand Melee with even more extra steps!
