I’m officially DNFing Dracula. The pacing is extremely slow and the prose is far too florid for my taste. I dislike most of the characters and it’s clear that Stoker is trying to make Van Helsing seem smart by using 100 words when 10 would do, but instead he just comes off like a pompous gasbag.
