Soy un gran fan de Borges.
Me encantaría que compartieran sus opiniones sobre este haiku!

Algo me han dicho
la tarde y la montaña.
Ya lo he perdido.

Sometimes this happens—time keeps moving whether I want it or not.
2004 was the last time I was in California so this bookmark is somewhere between 21-24 years old. Am using it to hold my place in “Room to Dream” #booksky

I love it!
Finished my embroidery reading tracker! It’s not accurate, since I over shot my goal 😅 I filled in all the books back in October, so it doesn’t have any of my reads from November or December, I’m trying to make it more adaptable for 2026 for my reading habits 🤔

I'm a big fan of Borges. He was an Argentine writer, and had composed Haiku. I suddenly felt the urge to read it again!

Every day, I see many moments in a classroom that will not come again.
Although every moment we live is like that, each time I come across it, I am touched—and then I become aware of what has been placed in my hands. #edusky

In a classroom,
A said to X, “No!”
B also said to X, “No!”
C also said to X, “No!”
X said “No!” too, even though X did not understand what the word meant.
They laughed.
X laughed too.
Seeing everyone laughing, the teacher said,
“You’re all getting along.”

Kids who don’t say hi when a teacher says hi in passing,
and teachers who don’t say hi when another teacher says hi in passing.
I say hi whether anyone says hi or not.
I feel like I’m on a one-person mission.
A heavy responsibility😆

In a study group with helping professionals, someone understood “holding” as taking on all the work on their own. #edusky

Still no clear answer.
In an elementary classroom, how do we keep both rights — the free expression of opinions, and the right not to be bothered by debate?
Children have both.

Am I lacking in social skills?
I wanted to do whatever I wanted, wherever I wanted, however I wanted, whenever I wanted.
Don't you sometimes think that?

Early Childhood Education Secures Tomorrow
Recent research -- "Universal early childhood education and adolescent risky behavior" (Ando, Mori, & Yamaguchi, 2025) -- found that early childhood education in Japan had a significant positive effect on reducing risky behavior in adolescence, like juvenile crime and teenage pregnancy. Thanks to the preschool reform, rates of juvenile violent arrests and teenage pregnancies dropped by 34% and 17%, respectively, compared to pre-reform averages.
