Having built an entire social platform built only on RSS/OPML/XSLT ~13 years ago, I would totally do it again. It made sense then, it makes sense now.

Support inbound RSS.

Let me enter the URL of an RSS feed in settings.

I'll ping a fixed location when the feed updates.

Such a system would allow the same flow to go to other systems.

This would help a lot.

The purpose of X for me has always been to just speak my mind and be part of discussions without any endeavors to game the platform for ~engagement~.

I have not cared that so few people can view my content and little to no engagement unless I inadvertently tap into a strong current of attention.

Part of me is, tbh, awe-struck with fear and anger about how things are.

Part of me is, ngl, ready and willing to see it all burn down and begin anew.

My last tweet was just a carrot emoji. The tweet before that was speaking out against a scammy influencer known as ben.eth. Then I was permanantly suspended as well as any other account I had associated with me.

My personal account was over 16 years old. It’s a gut punch but maybe it’s a positive.
