I'm so hungry. That's because I've lost my sense of taste over the last few days, so it's pointless eating, but it has miraculously returned in the last few hours and now I really need my chicken thigh and Mexican 'style' rice, like now. Also what makes the rice Mexican style?

Unfortunately I'm too old/unwell to stay up all night to watch Alex Horne do whatever he's doing. I will of course be supportive when I'm able and will no doubt spend money on a good cause to help in that way. Go watch Alex do whatever it is he's doing for 24 hours on Channel 4's You Tube channel.

Today's tea was called focus and was mango and pineapple. I am allergic to pineapple but the ingredients said pineapple flavouring so I risked it and I'm still alive so it's safe to say there was no actual pineapple in it. #adventcalendartea

Sending mailing list emails BEFORE the tickets go on sale. It cannot be that hard, and then if you are still beaten to the draw when it comes to tickets then that’s just life. Sending presale emails hours after the tickets go on sale shows a lack of care for fans in my opinion.

I will be attempting to get Greg tickets tomorrow. It's in the lap of the gods whether I'm successful or not. My fingers are crossed but if it doesn't go to plan I shall be okay.

I have drunk the sleepy tea which was disgusting, so we'll see whether that has any effect on the quality of my sleep. I must admit I am generally enjoying this advent calendar tea business and I'm surprised how many of them I've thought were okay.

The heating is broken. I have my cat and I’m not sure who is using who for warmth here. I have a blanket and a heater but I also have a bad cold so this is not ideal.

Had the most delicious pie for dinner. I'm not really a pastry kind of girl but occasionally I'll fancy a pie and this was a great one. It was a Pieminister chicken, leek, and thyme and it was really good. Highly recommend.

Today’s tea is cranberry and raspberry so I’ll expect some fruity smelling hot water. I also have some sort of virus (a cold probably) and so we can say that all these immune boosting teas do not work 🤣 #adventcalendartea

I have a fancy lasagna for dinner which is helping me to overcome the trauma that Royal Mail inflicted on me with their price to send a Christmas card. Slowly recovering but I may never be the same.

Today we continue the ginger theme with ginger, turmeric and fig tea. Turmeric tastes of basically nothing and ginger just makes my tongue fizzy. Who knows what fig tea tastes like (don’t say figs) #adventcalendartea

Feeling a bit delicate today despite the fact that I was driving yesterday and therefore not drinking. I decided not to go to the SU2C thing next week but can’t wait to watch the resulting telly programme. Feeling sad for no reason sucks.

Had a hug and a quick chat with Alex. Looked longingly at his wife from afar because I find it way more difficult to talk to women I admire and apart from some roadrage against me, the night was a good ‘un. The docu is so brilliant and I will gobble that series up #allincheshamunited

I'm currently wearing this shirt and I'm so pleased with myself. I love physics but it's an abusive relationship because it doesn't love me. I actually looked at studying astrophysics at Keele university and the male students looked at me like I was an alien.

Imagine a #Taskmaster roadshow only as well as doing it in the US, they also do it here. I'm thinking along the lines of the Top Gear Live show (where I spent three days drunk in Birmingham surrounded by supercars, my mates, and the TG3). Thinking out loud but such a thing is not without precedent
