Most disappointing games played in 2025:

- Blasphemous 2. Definitely took a step back from the first game and felt less Metroidvania-y to me. The cutscenes in particular were a massive downgrade.

I bounced off Routine, Pacific Drive and TLOU2 (again) but I wouldn't say I found them disappointing.

Most disappointing games played in 2025 (for me):

-Monster Hunter Wilds. The PC port is so bad (imo) that its performance really got in the way of my enjoyment over time. I want to love it.

-Cronos: The New Dawn. Really enjoyed the gameplay and atmosphere, but I didn't like the story's endings.

Too Human: I enjoy certain things about it but they did not make all classes viable solo, so it became a slog to play.

MvC Infinite: Love the Beyond mod but I can't get over the MCU-ified roster/bad story mode

SHf: Love/hate relationship, still good.

I know Kevin admits he was kind of a butthead all year, but he was 100% justified in his anger at the start of Home Alone.

Parents clearly have no control in the house or planning skills and his cousins called him incompetent and a disease, and another was *preparing* to pee the bed.

22. Metroid Prime Remastered

After finishing Metroid Prime 4 I just needed more Metroid. Can't go wrong with perfection. Every ability feels like it has meaning, every beam is unique and you are constantly swapping, backtracking galore. Just phenomenal stuff all around.
