The most transparent place to promote your music 🎵 Submit your song 👉 submithub.com
☝️ If a song isn’t landing, the answer isn’t always “submit harder.”

Sometimes the smarter move is:

🤔 different curator targeting & filtering
🤔 submitting in small batches
🤔 a different track (easier to playlist)
🤔 asking and adjusting your genres
🤔 more specific questions

🎧 Here's a #Bandcamp #ProTip: try setting your music’s cost to “name your price” with no minimum 💡

First, it makes your tracks accessible to fans with tighter budgets, helping to get your music into more ears. It’s a kind of positive PR...

Did you ever think about the fact that... the best person to tell you your genre might not be you? 🤔

Whether you realize it or not, unless your genre is really obvious, you might be too deep in your own music to classify it objectively.

You might've noticed that most other submission platforms don’t allow free submissions. The one that does requires "gates" – you’re forced to follow up to 3 things (a profile/artist, a song, a playlist). We know this skews your stats and can feel like a bit of a cheat 😕

You might not have spotted this if you’re not a frequent SubmitHub user – but we do have a super helpful Genre Analytics feature 🔍💡 Inside, you can see last month’s genre popularity, including submission volume and approval rates by genre, average listening time, and more.

What’s actually more beneficial – releasing #singles or an #album? 🤔 Which release style feels right for you right now? 💭👇

Which email would you open first (or at all)? One that speaks directly to you & your interests ("Peter, your Meta ad is at its all-time high") or a generic “great opportunity inside”? 🤔

Personalization grabs attention, builds connection, and creates a sense of intention 🤝🧵👇

Do you leave a review for a curator after they share you? ✅

Not just in music – we mostly review things when we’ve had a bad experience (a waiter was rude, the food wasn’t good... ). It’s easy to forget how motivating & helpful it is to leave a review when things go well.

Did you find a known bot playlist in your S4A stats? Or ran your artist profile through our Playlist/Artist Checker (submithub.com/playlist-checker) and spotted a shady playlist featuring you? 🙀 If you were added to a botted playlist without requesting it, here’s what to do next: 🧵👇

This kind of message honestly makes our day 💜

With the right approach, growth can REALLY happen, and when you hit new milestones and come back to share the wins with us NEVER gets old. Thank you for the trust, the love, and the laughs – this is exactly why we do what we do 🙌

Did a playlist curator feature your song & after a time, it was naturally rotated off the playlist?

Some of you might consider resubmitting it, especially if the playlist was a great fit or with a seasonal tune. If the curator liked it once, there’s a chance they still do 💡

Let’s talk about a small but important step you can take during the final stage of your song submission process (picking curators who are the best fit for your music): previewing their playlists (or, for bloggers and radio outlets, their recent shares) 🔎▶️

The Choose for Me feature is used in approximately 8% of submissions 💁

While manually browsing curators, reviewing their outlets, and personalizing your pitches based on what you see tends to be more effective, Choose for Me is especially useful when: 🧵👇

Most artists think the Spotify pitch is just a form you fill out and hope for the best (or they don’t pitch at all, with the whole “I don’t have a chance anyway” mindset, which is even worse). BUT! It’s actually your only chance to frame how an editor hears your song 📣🧵👇

Which of the scores near a curator is the most important? 🤔

Honestly, all of them! 😂 But if you want to boost your chances of a successful submission, focus more on the first one – Genre match.

You might feel a bit overwhelmed when using SubmitHub for the 1st time – with all the data and curators to choose from. But after just a couple of tries, you’ll probably agree with FM Wu – once you know what you're doing, reaching out to music outlets has never been easier 🙌💜

Do you have curators you believe are perfect for your music? Or ones who have approved you repeatedly? Or maybe there’s a curator who’s hard to get, but it’s your ultimate dream to get on their radar – even if it takes a few tries (and fails)..?

Similar artists = a great reference for where your music might belong. You can use them in your editorial pitch, or even in ads ("For fans of XYZ"). They’re also important for targeting on SubmitHub, helping the genre match. 🎯 But what do you do when you can't think of any?

January feels like a quiet echo of the Christmas season, with curators, editors, and more taking things slower, especially in the 1st half.

But around now, tastemakers & musicians start waking up & gearing up for new releases. How about you? Any new tunes to be shared soon? 💭👇

When submitting your track, you'll need to go through the curator list. But have you noticed that for curators you’ve submitted to before, there's a short note about your past subs? 💡 Clicking on it opens a pop-up with their profile & a list of their responses to your songs.

🤫 A feature no other music submission platform offers – our curators can actually follow artists and get notified when they upload new songs. This means curators can listen and pick it up if they like it, without the artist needing to pay and submit to them.

Releasing on a Friday? 🗓️ It does make sense, especially if you’re aiming for an editorial placement. However, it also means you're competing with more artists – not just on Spotify but also on socials and with SubmitHub curators (Fridays are the busiest days on SubmitHub).
