This is a new low from a govt plumbing the depths of performative cruelty in hopes that the public won’t notice they have no answers to the real issues facing this country

A sensible, humane govt would focus on safe routes to prevent people making dangerous small boat crossings

Rachel Reeves has already made a complete mess of her Budget, so I thought I should offer an alternative. This is the first part. There are several more to come. When the country's economy is failing, it's time to be radical. Nothing less will do. www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/11...
The Alternative Budget 2025 – The Background
Rachel Reeves will be presenting her Budget on November 26, if the Labour government of which she is a part lasts that long. I will be commenting on that Budget on the day on BBC Radio 2, and elsewh...

The government won’t achieve ‘decency’ over ‘division’ by trying to be Reform Lite and please remember this - the ECHR is much more than a treaty. It’s a quiet promise - a shield against abuse of power, a lifeline for the vulnerable, a declaration of who we are as a nation
Labour’s plan risks weakening protections for all of us. Human rights are universal - politicians may not always find them politically convenient but it shouldn’t fall to any government to say who those rights should and should not apply to. It’s a slippery slope to oblivion youtu.be/bl0Lm7v_T18?...

I actually agree with Fascist Farage but not for the reason he thinks. The BBC is institutionally biased but in favour of reform and before them UKIP and Brexit. Farage claims to oppose criminals and supports protecting women but supports a convicted criminal and rapist in the White House.

The Scottish government provides every family with a newborn with a ‘baby box’ of essentials to help them get started.

@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social is bringing the boxes to NY.

Why can’t we have obviously good & nice things like this under a Labour government UK wide?
