Think southern Africa might just be far enough away.
One of the few things I'll agree with Steenhuisen on is that Afrikaaner organisations have become incredibly adept at manufacturing crises and outrage as their primary fund raising strategy.

Well, if there was any chance of any rapprochement between South Africa and the Trump regime, that's it gone.

Never mind war games with Iran - this is personal 😂
“Melania,” the new documentary about the first lady, has been pulled from theaters in South Africa after the film’s local distributor said on Wednesday that it would no longer release it.

The distributor, which was set to release the film on Friday, said it had canceled the theatrical premiere because of “recent developments,” but declined to specify.

Not sure if this is wise of SARU.

For a start we'll be fielding a really weak team when Trump doesn't let in any players of colour.

And then all the Afrikaans okes in the team split post game and claim asylum.

We'll see them playing for the USA in Australia in 2027.

No man, not smart.

In Apartheid South Africa, activists in the custody of the Security Police regularly slipped and fell out of windows, or slipped on soap in the shower, and sometimes managed both.
I grew up hearing stories from my father about how folks abducted by Franco’s secret police would routinely “escape” to the roof of police HQ and “commit suicide.” The obviousness of the lie was itself an intimidation tactic.

The ANC has long been comfortable aligning itself with authoritarian anti-democratic regimes that are everything it historically fought against.

In the case of Iran there may be more to it.
