Pakenham passengers have to catch Frankston line and change at Caulfield.

Train pulls up at Caulfield, doors open and the train we’re meant to change to literally departs.

Now an 11 minute wait for the next one.

This is how not to run a network.

I’m extremely excited to have been elected as Mayor of the City of Monash for the next twelve months

Sustainability will be a key priority of mine over this term; supporting households, businesses and local groups to reduce emissions

Congratulations to Cr Elisha Lee on her election as Deputy Mayor

Trains every 8 minutes at midnight?

I’d like to see that.

Today I learnt that the Montreal Subway, with rubber wheeled trains, is the forth busiest in North America behind NYC, Mexico City and Toronto.

Amazing given only 3 lines (yellow isn’t really a line).

For those wondering, this is how NOT to create a DDA compliant accessible stop.

Dandenong corridor passengers forced to change at Caulfield for CBD trains today. Carlton plays North Melbourne at the G (ONLY 40-50k crowd).

By the time we reached Armadale passengers left on the platform. This will be the norm with #MM1

Better planning required by PTV & Metro #MoreServicesPlease

Welcome to @metrotrains

We’re testing #MM1 so have closed Dandy between City & Caulfield

Directly after the footy we’ll make passengers squeeze on to an incredibly narrow platform & wait 9 min for a Frankston train

Don’t push there will be another 12 min after this one leaves

They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning
We will remember them.

The calm before the storm. How lucky are we to have such a magnificent local pool?

We almost didn’t. Council planned to shut this famous local institution 20 years ago, but it was saved by local residents and ratepayers in a massive community campaign.

What are your favourite memories?

We've been making the point for a very long time, in many creative ways, that better mobility in cities is fundamentally about space. If everyone takes too much space trying to move around, no one moves well.

364 days till Christmas and people already have decorations up.

Unbelievable!

36 years ago, 24 people made the ultimate sacrifice at Nakatomi. May their courage and resilience live on, even in the face of impossible odds.

Yippee-ki-yay, heroes.

Two days of 30 degrees followed by four days in the low 20’s is not “extreme heat”.

This merely proves that our infrastructure is woefully inadequate.

We must do better.

34% of all the poker machines in the ENTIRE WORLD are in NSW.

Yep, more than a third. In only one Australian State.

Let that sink in.

This is such a good video on the Metro Tunnel that shows simply how much validation work is going on currently

Fascinating watch - bring on 20+ trains per hour “reliability growth running”!

Men are starting to have the conversation about ending the national crisis of gender-based violence.

We need to: talk to our friends, recognise the warning signs, challenging abusive behaviours, and listening to women/survivors without judgement or defensiveness.

It all starts with respect!

What’s wrong with people? Why do this to Bus and Tram shelters? That’s literally public money that could be better spent on something else. 🤬🙄

The annual Westgate Street Christmas Party. 26 years and going strong.

This is what community is all about: local residents (young and old) coming together to enjoy each others company.

Always a pleasure to be invited along - a highlight of the year.
