I generally listen to an album every day (at least at work), but I'm the worst at posting because I try to stay off social media.... But felt like posting today. Also, one of my AirPods didn't charge, so it's mono day!

As an educator at the graduate level, I fail to understand why education is the only industry that closes for inclement weather. Why do I get to work from home, but my husband still has to go in when it's -20 wind-chill? My students aren't waiting at a bus stop like elementary kids either.

I've had the title song stuck in my head, so today's choice for #RockSolidAlbumADay2025 is Warrior by Scandal featuring Patty Smyth (1984). Keep shooting at the walls of heartache, y'all.

Today's #RockSolidAlbumADay2025 is Letters to Cleo Wholesale Meats And Fish (1995). You might know this band from their covers of "I Want You to Want Me" & "Cruel to Be Kind" from the movie 10 Things I Hate About You. That's where I discovered them, & this album ingrained itself into my brain.

So I'm terrible at timely posting on weekends, but here is yesterday's album: Regina Spektor Begin to Hope (2006). She is so sonically interesting and has great hooks. A good sing-along if you can. #RockSolidAlbumADay2025

Yesterday's album of the day was Fontaines D.C.'s Romance which came out last year. This one was a bit of a grower for me, took 2 or 3 listens when it came out before I was really into it, but now I really enjoy it. #RockSolidAlbumADay2025

Ten days in and I've just decided to start participating in #rocksolidalbumaday2025. We'll see how long this lasts. Today's album? Cheap Trick Dream Police. Does anybody else think Bun E has too many bullets for his baton?
