If anything was a danger to public safety in Sydney yesterday, it was NSW Police leadership.
Stopping 100s of 1000s of people, in a confined space, and ordering them to turn back against the flow, was madness.
Without the peacefulness of the crowd, the turnaround could have been catastrophic.

The major party stitch up on electoral reform is breathtaking.
At a moment when their share of the vote (and therefore the trust) is the lowest in decades, hoodwinking the public to stitch up elections doesn’t seem like a winning strategy.
