my sister & her boyfriend keep being like ohh wow you know so many Japanese recipes and it’s like yeah I guess but these recipes equate to “the Japanese mom I hung out with a lot put a bunch of stuff in a pot and served it to us” which I think is what a lot of recipes are tbh
