if Trump tries to send in the military as he said, I doubt the military takes Hegseth seriously enough to follow an order to attack in Minneapolis -- the state & city governments OR civilians. That gives them enough room to pivot in case the military prefers to protect Minneapolis FROM ICE thugs.

ICE agents clearly characterize First Amendment protests as "illegally obstructing." Good, whom they describe in insults, was not doing that. None of it justifies anything near lethal force. It's now plain the immigrant mission is secondary to ICE trying to lay groundwork for a fascist police state.

Pam Bondi's new DOJ Plumbers have searched a senior Washington Post reporter's home trying to "out" the journalist's sources. Protecting the anonymity of sources and whistleblowers is NOT a crime and outing them otherwise is a red line. This looks like Bondi-gate.

The legislative branch may then consider replacing either or both with offices answerable to them which are far more practical, relevant and measured.

Today Trump reportedly tweeted ideas like banning driver licenses for certain groups of people including all elderly over age 65, and reviewing the 18th Amendment to make alcohol illegal again in "a sober USA." Either or both of these may be fake news, but if not, Trump's brain is failing fast now.

It makes no sense that even ONE person has been killed over what is ostensibly a civil policy addressing immigration infractions. The states need to assume control of their National Guard or whatever other state organized militia they have.
