I found out I have a skatepark 10 minutes from the office so I took my lunch break there. I'm feeling really good just pushing around and even dropped into a quarter pipe. I'm still embarrassingly bad at just ollie-ing while rolling though.

I'm actually picking skating back up much quicker than I thought I would. Can't trick, but I can Ollie and I've got most of my balance back already, so I'm calling it a win.

People's "respect" of arachnaphobes has honestly gotten out of hand. I can't imagine feeling so privileged that I think I shouldnt have to ever see a picture of a real-ass animal just existing.

I really want to get back into writing. I haven't done it since I was 20 and I was in a much worse place back then. My biggest fear is trying again and finding out that now that I'm happy, my writing will have lost it's heart.

4 days into Blue Prince and every day has the same boring rooms. I've gotten to do 2 puzzles and it's been about 3 hours. Am I missing something here?

Perhaps I'm way off base, but I feel like I keep seeing our society become quicker to reject any art which in any way depicts something we personally find abhorrent, regardless of the artist's intention.

This is a year where we got a new Monster Hunter and I am reasonably expectant that my GOTY will end up being Escape Simulator 2.

Why are MMORPGs especially so plagued with open worlds full of fodder enemies you can right click to death? WoW, FFXIV, ESO (especially ESO) all feature big open environments full of fearsome looking enemies all made of rice paper.
"Broad audience appeal" can't be the only reason.
