One of my ss was clearly preoccupied during our Chi-Square lesson and suddenly blanked on what to do when p < 0.05. So, I flashed this Snoop graphic for about 5 seconds—and that definitely got their attention! “Will you remember now?” I got a loud, unanimous “YES!” from the class. Thanks, Snoop! 😂🤣

A student from 21 years ago texted me: Why do we rationalize and use a conjugate? I said: radicals don’t belong in denominators, so we multiply by the conjugate to remove them. A light bulb went off—he recalled that the conjugate keeps value intact while eliminating the radical. #MathTeacherMoments

Lately, life feels like this curve—peaking, then hitting a plateau. My 403B included (haha). But downturns don’t last forever. At some point, the only way is up. Things will get better. They have to. Hopefully, in this lifetime.

Public education is at risk. Federal funding supports vital programs, jobs, and resources our schools rely on. This isn’t about politics—it’s about protecting our profession and students. No time for blame, only action. Let’s push forward and fight for our schools! #ProtectPublicEducation
Dismantling the Department of Education won’t give states more control—it will defund and destabilize public schools. States already oversee most of public education, but federal support ensures students have the resources they need.
