Did the folks who get their SSI payments on the first Wednesday of the month get one today?

I almost forgot to say, I start Gemzar on Friday the 31st. No steroids or Benedryl are needed this time and stomach upset isn't usually associated with it. Fingers crossed.

A lot has happened. Joel is in a psych hospital after suicide threats a week ago. After a misdiagnosis and prescribing bipolar medication. He is starting to do better. He's off that med and his original SRI that could have been contributing to his suicidal ideation.

And then there's the rest of the story; the person I thought was the love of my life, with whom I chose to soul fast, has betrayed me. I don't know if I'm willing to try to salvage it or not. Right now I'm just so angry, and hurt, and really confused.

A lot can happen in a week. The cancer in the lymph node in my left lung has more than doubled from 7mm to 17mm and the adrenal growths are metastatic. I will be starting my 5th regimen of treatment, this one is given every other week. Yippee I get to spend more time at the hospital.

Hey all. Tomorrow is a CT scan to see what's going on as my cancer antigen number went up dramatically. After 2 2/2 years and 4 failed courses of treatment I'm not feeling terribly optimistic.

FACT: The United States is the only developed country in the world without universal health coverage for all of its citizens - and that's absolutely shameful, especially for the most wealthy nation on the planet.

Now that we are past the craziness of the past many days, I want to thank my wonderful partner and family for all that they did. You all made it great with your participation and I love you all!

Today is off to a good start. A pound cake is in the oven. All the dishes are washed. And I had a massage this morning. This afternoon I will bake an apple cranberry pie and Shane and I are smoking a turkey. The marathon has begun!
