Just finished reading ‘The Final Year’ by Matt Goodfellow to Year Six. Utter genius. The children could relate to every single bit of it.

I’ve got to say that it’s a surreal experience when one of your class arrive with a snack for you and it turns out to be pheasant. I kid you not.

Talking at school today about long-term memory. How do you get kids to remember more? I learned by repetition when I was a kid; it worked.

As someone who has worked 30 years in Outdoor Ed, I’m concerned hearing people say only those with ‘Forest Schools’ can lead woodland activities and light fires.

I love snow. Children love snow. Yet being in charge of 60 children out in the snow is a massive stress and none of it is fun.

One of those Fridays when you reflect that your class have behaved all week and you can’t work out what is wrong. 🤔🤔

Only been here an hour and it already feels so much cleaner. Looking forward to some grown-up interactions.
