The next console currently under development is the "Crew Operations Console". We've been revising the UI a lot, with more changes on the way, but here's a little behind-the-scenes glimpse of what we've got so far!

I was on a call with some friends doing some #Gamedev work when, all of a sudden, two of them pointed out that the in-game Nautiluses were moving the wrong direction...

Real life Nautilus's move backwards... and I somehow completely forgot about that... 🥲

"I hate front-end!" I say.

"I'll take whatever programming career path that avoids that as much as possible!" I cry out.

But working on stuff in-engine makes me realize that I really just hate scripting front-end code using Typescript, React, JS, etc.

Made it so you can now navigate to the lower Submarine level, and you're now also able to exit/re-enter the Submarine!

Made some final visual adjustments to the lighting to allow the hue to shift dynamically based on how deep you are. You can see how, in shallower waters, the lighting has a greenish tint, while the depths have a darker blue hue.

I've been trying to figure this out for the last hour, but I've made 4 different godray/lightshaft variants, and I still don't feel happy with what I've got so far.

This is just plain uncanny. I don't have any formal blurb for this other than the fact that I was experimenting with the surface for Ocean Visuals. Somehow using this more realistic look gives me this odd Gmod-esc uncanny valley feeling

Maybe it's because of my Diet of rocks, but I've been hard stuck trying to get the player's head to FACE the direction they're looking when they look up or down for the last 3 hours... I don't understand what's going on anymore...
