Of the records made at the Tonys today, it’s especially nice to see Danny Burstein tie Jason Robards as the most nominated male actor in history. Seeing a performer who has dedicated his life to theater - mostly in supporting parts - reach this height is thrilling.

This makes me sad since this has been my go-to theater for years. It’s no-frills and in the heart of downtown with a dedicated fanbase that understands that you don’t use your phone or talk while watching an arty, independent film. It’s a place for film lovers in a time when we’re a dying breed.

There is…a lot happening in the world right now that feels very overwhelming. Today, though, I’m going to focus on the fact that it’s my six year anniversary of giving up alcohol and reflect on how much can change for the better if given enough time, effort, and reflection.
