With our funding through the #Type1DiabetesGrandChallenge, Prof Michael Weiss & his team are making progress designing 'smart' insulins that can reduce the risk of low blood sugar levels (hypos).

The Grand Challenge is investing £5 million over five years to establish a UK-wide Type 1 Diabetes Cell Therapy Clinical Trials Network, supported by NIHR.
