82 games is a long grind. Thankfully some of them have more juice. Sens-Habs should be fun. Both teams are relevant, both teams are coming off getting thumped by elite teams, and…both teams despise each other.

Sens PP was 6th in the NHL in October. Entered tonight 27th in November.

Didn’t happen tonight, but after the 7 year debacle it dawned on me that it’s refreshing watching the Sens knowing that even on nights they don’t “have it”, more often than not they’ll have at least a chance to win. Takes me back to Jacques Martin 1.0

Brady Tkachuk returns today. At the time of the injury, conventional wisdom suggested that the Sens needed to tread water and be .500 without him. They went 11-5-4 (26pts). If they just went point a game (NHL .500), they’d be tied with Buffalo for last in the East.

A 1-0 win in Chicago. Ho-hum. The Colorado Avalanche have 1 regulation loss through 22 games this season. A 3-2 decision in Boston a month ago.

I've always thought Anthony Cirelli was a fair comparable for Pinto. Both signed their new deals at 25. In year one, Cirelli accounted for around 7.5% of the team cap in a no tax state on an 8 year contract. Pinto will account for around 7.2% in year one on a 4 year contract.
