Is it too much to ask for our partisan politics to not be influenced by meme culture, for parties to not be so heavily shaped by social media influencers, and to just frankly be run by functioning adults?

Why do I feel like I’m about to develop a love for the sport of curling this Winter Olympics?

I would rather the Pistons have looked to make a move for Malik Monk personally, but here’s hoping playing alongside Cade comes with better opportunities and likewise better shooting for Kevin Huerter in comparison to his performance in the recent past.

A quiet night for Darryn Peterson until it wasn’t.

As I’m sure you guys can only imagine, I’m a big hit at social gatherings, thought I would share some of the books I’ve recently started to help highlight the point:

One fiction goal for this year is to read this, the work of fiction that I have wanted to read most the past number of years.

As a Michigan fan, I think this might be perhaps the most excited I am for a Michigan and Michigan State basketball game, Breslin Center should be electric tonight!

It’s a shame someone had to lose this game, what a game.

That series from Riq Woolen might be of the most disastrous series I’ve ever seen from an individual player.

The Patriots organization is something else. Imagine blowing it up and starting a rebuild only for you to make it to the Super Bowl 3 years in.

Coaching masterclass from Curt Cignetti tonight. This dude is already an all-time college football coach.

If Mike Tomlin goes out like this with the Steelers it will be so sad.

One thing I’m thinking about as I watch the NFL Playoffs with my parents, think if there was a channel that catered to football nerds and they showed the game from the All-22 camera. I’m surprised this isn’t a thing yet.

It turns out this Michigan men’s basketball team is mortal? I was at work so I missed the game but heard it was the first close game in a long time.

I’m looking to start re-reading The Hobbit and The Lord of Rings. Please hold me accountable that I don’t start breaking out in chanting high-verse poetry at any time. It’s going to be tough.

I had perhaps my favorite interaction that I’ve had at the children’s desk at the library so far today. A three year old boy asked me for a car coloring sheet, I handed him a generic truck coloring sheet which he responded with “Do you guys have Bugatti coloring sheets?”

No doubt we’re living in difficult, momentous, and important political times.

My biggest advice to fellow Christians before using social media to keep updated, comment upon things, or navigate disagreement with family or friends; make sure you say your prayers.
