The facts are in on this: The younger a child is when they are put into prison, the more likely it is they will continue to be in prison across their lifetimes. These policies harm children, families and communities and create crime.
police are executing this policy - to incarcerate more innocent Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children for longer - exactly as instructed.
