I also propose hazard pay for those who give talks on racial injustice due to being constantly gaslit by the inevitable claims of the end of all racism. "It often feels that [some people] would rather believe that all their colleagues and students of colour were lying!" Than admit racism exists.
In which I ask, how do we deploy hope in response to racial injustice in the midst of despair? Here I use a couple of stories, experiences, and arguments in this contemplation on the neoliberal university.
