Merry-go-round horses are stacked in rows in a dim storage shed inside an abandoned roadside attraction. Behind them are haphazardly-stacked cardboard boxes filled with unidentified contents. Heavy steel chains with tow hooks hang suspended from a rack in a fenced-off storage compound, near a jumble of old tires. The hooks were once painted yellow and teal, but the paint is slowly disappearing as the chains rust. A plastic garbage bin lays flat on the ground, its lid open. The bin is visually framed by an arched hallway made of metal tubing that that stretches away from the viewer and forms a sort of entryway to an abandoned theme park. The archway seems to be presenting this bin as the first attraction. A scene showing three larger-than-life rubber ducks stashed in an awkward pile in a storage area away fenced off from the public part of an abandoned theme park.

A factory that produces roof shingles, photographed just after sunset, showing a large columnar structure beside a rectangular building. On the other side of the column are several levels of open scaffold-like areas packed with a maze of pipes, platforms, safety railings and access ladders. Much of the internal structure is lit by sodium lamps, the rest still dimly visible in the cool evening sky glow. Behind the factory, the last bit of colour from the sun’s afterglow illuminates thin streaks of cloud at the horizon, while the sky fades to a watery blue above. In the foreground, a rail line passes by the factory, the rails reflecting both the blue of the sky and the yellow of the sodium lamps.
