What to Sow in February. A list of some of the things you can sow in February - but apart from aubergines, chillies and peppers, which take a long time to grow in the UK, everything on this list can wait until March.

Good morning 🌱 It's a beautiful day here in Wales, after yesterday's stormy weather & I am happy to be able to spend most of it in the garden - even if it is rather boggy!

I grow year round here at my small homestead. Here are some of my seasonal harvests

Blue Monday is not a real thing. It’s a complete fabrication designed to get us to spend money. Feeling down? Spend money. That’s really not a good thing to promote!

Good morning from snowy Ceredigion. Freezing temperatures last night & more snow means the roads are very slippery, so I'll be staying home.

Had to defrost the latch for the duck run with hot water!

Making the most of this beautiful weather.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the beautiful snowy weather here today, but it did rather confuse my ducks!

Snowfall in the night has transformed the cottage and garden ❄️
I took these photos before dawn. It's snowing again.

What to sow in January 🌱

Here's a list of seeds that can be sown now for cropping in 2026. The key things are that you can, but you don't have to (February will be fine) & 🍆🌶️🫑 need warmth to germinate & grow.

I've got heat mats & grow lights. A warm windowsill will work too.

Happy New Year! Here's to a fantastic 2026.

The London NYE fireworks display was fantastic. The message of optimism, tolerance, inclusivity, diversity and celebration of multiculturalism was an absolutely joyful start to the year.

Happy winter solstice!

It's a beautiful cold wintry day here, and I'll be spending most of it in the garden.

Delighted to discover that my You Tube channel now has over 10,000 subscribers!

It's a rather homespun channel, no fancy filming or team editing it for me, but I am glad so many people like it.
