I found my first long-eared owl on my own today! I went for a walk with my sister and somehow spotted this beauty through a million branches. I couldn’t get a clear shot, but i didn’t even care. I was ecstatic! ❤️ 2.2.25, southern Minnesota.

I haven’t posted my beloved birds lately because everything feels so heavy right now. With all of the bs out there, I’m going to make a conscious effort to put some beauty back into the universe. A short-eared owl flew right over my head as I stood shooting out of my sunroof! 11.26.24 in MN.

✨First post✨This is one of my hometown barred owls - Mama June - perched beautifully in the setting sun. This is their nesting tree where they raise their owlets, then follow them from tree to tree around the park until the owlets can survive on their own. They return to this tree each winter. ❤️
