After an injury slowly getting back into running, although I seem to be still a bit pale. #parkrun #running #halloween

Reached my 100 milestone at #parkrun yesterday. It also happened to be world giraffe day😀. It was warm, even with the ventilator blowing in the suit, but had a blast!

It was a hot #WorldParrotDay at #parkrun this morning. Had fun and time flew by. No, parrots don’t count for the pirates challenge in the 5k app 🏴‍☠️

So after a few months of training, with an unplanned break in between, I finally did my first full #marathon. It was hot in #Leiden, but didn't encounter any serious issues and managed to stay hydrated enough. I am now officially a #marathonrunner 😀. Next step is trying to get one under 4 hours.

Back to #running again, did my home #parkrun on the International Day of Manned Space Flight

Only walked at the #parkrun yesterday, my #ABI kept me from enjoying it. Did a 25 km run afterwards for #marathon training, also with no positive effect on my brain. Just have to give it time... #running #stroke

Training up for my first full #marathon, and apparently my training schedule now calls for sub 2-hour half-marathons. Dreading what is ahead...😨

Finally got around to do a tempo run today and I noticed that I have put them off too long. After a 10 minute warmup, I managed to do only the first 10 minutes of what was supposed to be 15. On the bright side, did manage to improve my 1 mile PR by 9 seconds 🙂 (now 6:50) #running

Bad weather and iced paths cancelled most of the parkruns in the Netherlands, only 8 of 25 still open. Joined Waterakkers (Breda) for a nice run (24 minutes) with hot cocoa at the end. I am glad they were able to open, as others were too far away. Many thanks to the volunteers! #parkrun #waterakkers

Finally awake enough after the 30km rain and mud slog that was the Leenderbos Trail run yesterday. Last year the puddles were bigger and deeper (up to 1 meter deep) but I recall there being less mud roads and more solid ground. It still was an interesting challenge to conquer! #trailrunning

Well, did my first run of the year, #parkrun in Eindhoven. Too full of food and champagne, too low on sleep, still very much enjoyed the run (sub 30 minutes) and the people (50+). The cold and wind sobered me up enough to get home and catch up on sleep :-)
