My end of the year gift comes from @proton.me launching Sheets! Libre Office was a good tool for spreadsheets after de-googling my life, but end-to-end encrypted documents directly accessible in my Proton drive is 😍

I would love to get together at the library, or a coffee shop, to talk about this with fellow Calgarians. I have been reading a lot about this, and have learned some helpful bits to fight this. Anyone else is interested in chatting?
When I reflect on 2025 it feels like I'm losing connection in many ways. With friends. With family. With neighbours. With colleagues. All kinds of relationships atrophying. I like "doing my own thing." But... this is not good. I don't think this is how we were meant to be

Damn, Dan Simmons. Hyperion books have the best quotes.

One of the biggest drivers of high housing costs is that a small, highly motivated group of incumbent homeowners block new housing in their neighborhoods and almost no one is organized to push back.

Young people bear the brunt of that imbalance.

Be a housing fan.

Useful trick when you want to share a #ruby snippet, get feedback, etc:

You can write the tests in the same file as your code. The code works as expected, and running it by its file name executes the tests (`ruby greet.rb`, in this case).

Got it from @skillstopractice.com's Ruby Best Practices :)

A bit of a vulnerable post by me but we need your help to get us through what has been a more difficult period than 2020.

It would be really appreciated if you could read and share in your networks too 💛

"How did I never hear about this book before?"

My favourite part of reading books is how I end up adding 2-3 books to my reading list <3

A fun conversation getting to my improv class where a friend asked me:

- "wow, you're so brave riding your bike!"
- "hum, why?"
- "well, downtown is so busy at this time"
- "well, that's true if you're driving a car which I am not 😅. The bike lanes are great"
- "you're still brave!"
