Newmarket MP Matt Hancock gave a £37bn Covid testing contract to Jockey Club director Dido Harding, who subcontracted it to Grand National sponsor Randox, employer of Tory MP Owen Paterson, whose late wife chaired Aintree racecourse. That's how the Tories handled the pandemic.

Council Garden waste collections, do they actully have any gardeners giving them advice? Most of the waste I generate is over the winter period, leaf picking, clearing areas, tree pruning etc. Yet this is when they stop collections. #Gardening

FFS bawling my eyes out in several places whilst listening to Life Changing on Radio 4 today with the interview with the ex soldier with awful PTSD and his medical assistant doggo. #BBBRadio4

UK gardeners, it's October and so much stuff is still going strong. I've got autumn/spring plants and bulbs to put in pots and baskets but so many of them still look to good to empty.
Also I'm still having to water lots as the ground is still bone dry.
Anyone else finding the same? #Gardening

Farage wants the UK to quit the ECHR. It is exactly what Putin wants, for the UK to join Russia and Belarus as the only European countries outside the ECHR. It would be a huge victory for Putin in his war against human rights and the international rule of law.

Farage is a traitor.

Just seen a headline that 3 people have been arrested in London for spying for Russia. Haven't read anymore but could it be Doris, Drump and Garage?

The greatest knife in the Italian house and world. Will cut through anything, can be used to chop, peel, spread anything you'd use a knife for. The tip also can be used as flathead screwdriver

Reform UK, which has a grand total of four MPs, was just given an uninterrupted platform for an hour and a half on the BBC and Sky News channels, in order to talk about its plans for mass deportations

When was the last time the Greens (with four MPs) or the Lib Dems (with 72) were given the same?

#Gardening Tomato haul is getting impressive, but we've been picking cucumbers daily for yonks now. Getting close to critical cucumber mass.

These photos don't do this rose colour justice. In real life the vibrancy is so strong it looks like they've been photoshopped. No idea what rose it is, anyone any ideas? #Gardening #Roses

Scanning some old photos. We took some rubbish pictures as kids, loads of candid shots from the top the staircase. But mum appears to have documented events on the TV by taking photos of funerals etc

Who says peat free compost is rubbish for growing stuff. If the watering is right you can grow anything, I believe this is a little aubergine or as Americans say eggplant.

Useful tip, use nail polish.
Daughter painted my nails last weekend with a clear coat of something. At the end of the day my nails have never been easier to clean, it's a game changer.
Nail polish for Gardeners FTW

I'm sure this digital internet age is contributing to my forgetfulness.
I used to know phone numbers before smartphones and radio station frequencies before DAB.
Is there anything else that Iay have forgotten.....see.

Wow. Does gasket material always smell of pee.
Ordered a few sheets to make my own for some old garden machinery. Boy does it pong. I've had to remove it from the house...any spare might be useful to deter the local cats that use our beds as a cat litter tray

Wow the blooms almost finished on this (Dracaena?). I'm kind of glad because each evening the scent has been getting stronger and stronger. Tonight as I've come in it's like a punch to the nose.
