Speaking of translation, the first two Japanese games translated into French -Dragon Ball and Saint Seiya for the NES- were translated by Yuji Shibata, then product manager at Bandai France (Nintendo's official distributor until the early 1990s), simply because he was learning French at the time.

I've finally found some information about Kei Furutsuki / ふるつき景, illustrator who worked on several Compile games in the late 80s. The bad news is that he died of liver cancer on 3 December 2010.
