Did a check on the forge yesterday after a ton of rain and was glad to see it was all bone dry. Hurrah! Have a project lined up for a baby shower prize. Oh and we had a kid in August. 💁🏻‍♂️

It’s been 3 arduous months not smithing & being stuck indoors while the earth sizzles in the AZ sun. Sucks having an outdoor forge. But once it cools down, I will be back at it.

Been crazy windy the past few weeks and we’ve got a lot of fire threats, not conducive to forging. Hopefully soon I can get back to my projects. SO close to finishing my first pair of tongs.

Broke down and got a $20 random orbital sander, and got a week’s worth of work done in about an hour. With the week off from the day job, there stand should be done!
