The simple effect of the POV being slightly submerged in the water adds a lot of depth to the composition, and her expression is so serene and calming (to me, at least). It’s like she’s fascinated by something just out of frame. It’s a vibe.

She smirks and watches the process. Still really love this piece — Danse is a fun character to draw, and I feel like this does a great job of encapsulating the vibe of her first phase as a boss character: elegant skeleton-summoning blood queen. It's really cool that she actually ended up becoming a character in a game, too (Drop Pockets)! Anyway, I love evil women. I love evil blood women. I don't know why. They're just good.

The ultimate break in immersion for Tsukihime is that the glasses Aoko gave Shiki when he was 10 still somehow fit his head at age 17.

Obviously the lenses are what matter in this case, but they wouldn't fit into adult frames without some major modifications. They would look silly!
